Chronicles of a Workaway Participant part 2

By Jasper Burger

When I wrote my last blog post, I had some time off from work and decided to have some fun in New York.  This blog post, however, will be heading a different way as it's back to work as usual.

Working day-to-day as well as at various functions, tournaments and weddings on a daily basis means that you need to be on top of your game and will need to keep your act together at all times while on the Workaway programme.  Working hard doesn't mean that you can't have fun though at the same time though!

Working with great people and hard-working team mates, especially for a good cause like a drug awareness fundraiser that took place at the Jupiter Hills club, is one of the best parts of the job.  Yes, it is a serious matter, but members hit the dance floor and we were dressed as sailors for the boat theme which made the evening a lot of fun!

Dressing to the nines and looking sharp for events is a really fun part of the job.  The team attended the Rod Stewart tribute where we all dressed to the pink and red theme, which was really enjoyable.  When the team is having fun, the night usually goes pretty smoothly in the Food and Beverage department, which is always a plus!

Just a reminder to potential recruits that working 60-70 hour weeks can be gruelling, tedious and tiresome... but darn they sure are fun!
