So…you’re in a new country
and yes you are working but why not make time to travel and experience all that
this beautiful place has to offer? Some places you’d like to go may require you
to request time off work for a couple of days but if that isn’t possible then
make the most of the time you do have.
A couple of weeks ago my
friends and I had one day off, a Monday, so what did we do? We decided that we
were going to make a spontaneous road trip to Central Florida to experience a
day at Rainbow Springs National Park. We woke up early in the morning and drove
4 hours to the springs; stopping along the way for some much needed coffee and
snacks of course. We packed a little picnic basket and spent the day enjoying
nature at it’s finest. We canoed, saw alligators and otters and enjoyed lying
in the sun with good company. After about 8 hours exploring Rainbow Springs we
decided to head back to Delray Beach as it was going to be another 4-hour drive
back and we had work the next afternoon. This trip was one of the best
experiences we had and although exhausting, it was well worth the early
morning and long drive.
The thing about Florida is
that there is so much to do and a lot of these activities only require a day.
All it takes is some motivation to do it, some good friends to do it with and a
positive attitude.

because some things only happen once.”
